A trio collaboration between Kristy, ceramicist Caitlin Bongers, & watercolor maker Issy.Watercolors!

A silhouette inspired by the side view of a magnolia bloom. Each palette is filled with custom blended granulating paints. The ceramic palette is the work of artist Caitlin Bongers & every custom color is a blend of multiple pigments that were brainstormed by Issy & Kristy.

From Kristy:

"When I started dreaming up the idea of the silhouette for this palette, I really wanted it to be more interpretive; I wanted it to be non-representational but something that might also spark a memory or an idea from your own lived experience. Also, to me this looks a lot like fire and that burning creativity is what I think of when I think of fire. And so it's kind of this traditional shape that could take on a lot of different meanings for different folks who decide to add this to their collection. She's a little wild, she's a little wonky, she's very "Kristy"."

From Caitlin:

"With a background in ecological fashion, I have a great eye for detail and quality. I think there is perfection in imperfection and I love to add ‘rough’ edges to my work. I want to include my love for nature and minimalism in my ceramics and am working on usable merchandise made from my illustrations. I hope my work will inspire others to be mindful about how we impact the environment, while providing a fun atmosphere to create in!

From Issy:

"The paint is handmade. Little bubbles, cracks and sticky spots are normal. Paints can shrink overtime and fall out. If the paint falls out of the well, add a drop of water in the well and press the paint back in. Big air bubbles can occur.

Handmade paints work differently than generic brands. For the best results, add a drop of water to the paint and let it sit for about 2-5 minutes. Use your wet brush to pick up some paint and swirl it into a mixing palette. Add more water for the pigments to flow freely and separate and granulate.

All paints are Vegan! Made with nothing but Gum Arabic, Water, vegetable glycerin, Vegan Ox Gall, Corn Syrup and Tea Tree oil. We do not use clove oil."
